Healthy Smiles
& Healthy Lives
Go Together

A recent study published by Neurology® Open Access in the official journal of the American Academy of Neurology found a direct link between oral health and overall health.

Specifically, there were three findings that
caught our attention:

group of friends laughing
  • Gum disease and cavities are linked to an 86% increased risk of stroke
  • Poor oral health leads to a 36% increased risk of heart attack
  • Regular dental visits results in an 81% decrease risk of gum disease

While we often focus on the aesthetics of our smile, studies like this reinforce the critical nature of preventive dental care. It is something our entire team at Anderson Dental Center takes seriously, and we would welcome the opportunity to share a copy of the study or discuss how it's findings might apply to you and your family.

Most importantly, please give us a call to make sure we are able to work together to create
optimum oral health that will allow us to avoid the significant health issues identified in the study.
